It is located seven kilometers south-west of Taldom on the right bank of the Dubna River, at the confluence of the Kuiminka River, near the village of Bolshaya Strashevo , and on the left bank of the Dubna Yudino , Maloe Strashevo and Panovka .
Located near the highway P112 . With the district center there is a regular bus service.
From the history of the Taldom district it is known:
Until 1764, it belonged to the Resurrection maiden in the Kremlin, a monastery. In 1781, a state-owned village of 12 households, 68 inhabitants, in 1851 - 18 households, 135 residents, in 1859, 25 households, 77 male, 87 female [2] .
Before the municipal reform of 2006, it was part of the Yudinsky rural district [3] [4] .
