Geography
The village is located in the west of the Kaluga region near the Smolensk region .
The distance to the regional center (the city of Yukhnov ) is 15 km, to Kaluga - 114 km, to Moscow - 285 km.
Streets
There are four streets in the village:
- st. Zarechnaya
- st. Lyubilovskaya
- st. New
- st. Olkhovskaya.
History
In 1965, by a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR, the settlement formed as a result of the unification of the villages of Bolshoy Lyubilovo, Maloye Lyubilovo and Podolesie was given the name Lukanino village in memory of the Heroes of the Soviet Union Dmitry Lukanin and Yanim Efimovich Lukanin [2] .
At the village cemetery there is an obelisk in memory of Jacob Lukanin [3] .
