Gotha T57 - a two-axle wagon for two-way traffic, manufactured by the Gotha Carriage Works national enterprise of the city of Gotha ( GDR ). The car has two cabins, and four doors, two on each side. The cars are designed to work on a tram track 1000 mm wide. The Gotha T57 tram was produced from 1957 to 1961. Gotha T57 wagons could operate in train mode with one or two non-powered Gotha B57 trailers. When working in systems without turning rings, the motor car at the final was transferred from the “head” of the train to its “tail”. Gotha T57 trams were popular not only in Germany , but also in the cities of the USSR , where there were tram systems with a track width of 1000 mm. In many cities, where there were turning rings on all the terminals (Lviv, Vinnitsa), during the overhaul, the cabin and controller were dismantled in the rear of the motor car, and the doors on the left side of the body were welded. In Yevpatoriya, in order to avoid re-motoring of the motor car to end cars, the cabin and the controller from the rear of the motor car were transferred to trailed cars. Preserved in many cities, where they still work linear, office or museum.
