Biography
Born May 6, 1917 in the village of Berezniki, now Ilyinsky district, Ivanovo region in a peasant family. Russian. He graduated from 9 classes of a secondary school in the village of Ankovo. In 1930, he left for Ivanovo, where his father worked, and entered the school for factory apprenticeship at the Sosnevsky factory. He worked as a carpenter at a furniture factory and studied at the evening work faculty of the Energy Institute. At the same time engaged in the Ivanovo flying club.
In the Red Army since 1938. In 1940 he graduated from the Orenburg Military Aviation School named after K.E. Voroshilov. Dismissed to the reserve and sent as an instructor to the Ivanovo flying club. Here I met the beginning of World War II .
By August 1942 he personally trained 76 cadets. In August 1942 he was again drafted into the army. In the 34th reserve aviation regiment, he was trained and mastered the Il-2 attack plane.
On the fronts of World War II from March 1943. The entire combat path was part of the 6th Guards Assault Aviation Regiment, from a pilot to a squadron commander. He fought on the Kalinin , 1st Baltic and 3rd Belorussian fronts. Member of the CPSU since 1944. He received three injuries, two of them severe. He participated in the liberation of Belarus and the Baltic states.
By October 1944, Captain Nechaev completed 112 sorties. He conducted reconnaissance of enemy troops, with assault strikes inflicted heavy losses on manpower and equipment. Destroyed 4 tanks, 18 vehicles, 6 railway cars. Delivered goods to Belarusian partisans. He was twice wounded in battles. More than once flew the lead of a group of attack aircraft. Between May and September 1944, the squadron under his command made 477 successful sorties.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 23, 1945, the captain Vyacheslav Filippovich was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal .
In total, during the war years, the pilot-attack aircraft Nechaev carried out 156 successful sorties. By May 1945, the squadron under his command conducted 1021 successful sorties, with combat losses of 5 pilots and 11 aircraft. The quality of combat training held the first place in the regiment.
In January 1946, the captain Nechayev was transferred to the reserve due to illness. He lived in Ivanovo, worked as a flying club instructor. The shell-shock received at the front undermined health, and on July 14, 1948, Nechaev committed suicide.
He was awarded the Order of Lenin , two orders of the Red Banner , orders of Alexander Nevsky , Red Star , World War 1 degree, medals.
His name is immortalized on the Alley of Heroes in the village of Ilyinskoye-Khovanskoye and at the memorial at the eternal flame in the regional center of Ivanovo. In the city of Ivanovo, his name is immortalized on a memorial plaque to graduates of the flying club.
