Biography

Born on September 3, 1959 in Khust (now Transcarpathian region , Ukraine [2] ) in a family of teachers. Father, Ivan Yuryevich, graduated with honors from the philosophical faculty of KSU named after T.G.Shevchenko , but was forced to teach at a boarding school and vocational school , because he spent six years in the Gulag because of accusations of nationalism. Mom taught geography.

He began to print in children's publications from the sixth grade. He won the competitions of young writers.

In 1977 he entered the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv , at the Faculty of Journalism. During his student years he was a member of the editorial board of the university long-run newspaper “For Soviet Science”, then editor of the newspaper “Sources”. He began to work professionally as a journalist in 1982 in the newspaper “Youth of Transcarpathia”.

In 1990, he founded the newspaper "News of Mukachev." At that time he worked as a correspondent in the newspapers Karpatsky Krai, Serebryany Zemlya, Fest. He was published in all-Union and republican newspapers and magazines: Komsomolskaya Pravda, Izvestia, Ukraine, Man and the World, Morning, Soviet Woman, Literary Ukraine, Youth of Ukraine. In 1998 he founded the Carpathian Tower publishing house in Mukachevo .

Actively working in literature since the 1980s. He is the author of about twenty works, including novels, short stories, and the philosophical and psychological testament of the Carpathian sage “Many summers. Good summers ” [3] , which became the Ukrainian national bestseller. His prose was translated into Russian, Hungarian, Slovak, Romanian, Polish, French, English, Japanese, Italian.

Member of NSPU and the Association of Ukrainian Writers (2003) [1] .

The books of Miroslav Dochints are massively distributed among readers, causing more and more interest outside Ukraine. [four]
