Nikolai Danilovich Golev (born August 22, 1946 , r.p. Talmenka, Altai Territory ) is a Soviet and Russian linguist, the author of numerous works on the Russian language and general linguistics. Doctor of Philology, Professor. Professor of the Russian Language Department of Kemerovo State University , Head of the Laboratory of Jurislingistics and Documentation of Kemerovo State University, Editor-in-Chief of the Jurislingistics Journal. He is the author of more than 500 works on the issues of derivatology, linguocognitology, linguodidactics, linguopersonology, methods of teaching the Russian language, morphology, motology, general linguistics, onomasiology, spelling and punctuation, written language, semasiology, lexicography, toponamastics, fiction, jurists.

Biography
In 1964 he graduated from Talmen Secondary School No. 2. In 1971 he graduated from the Philological Department of Tomsk State University . Then he entered the graduate school of Tomsk University in the department of the Russian language, which he graduated in 1974. Since 1974 he has been a candidate of philological sciences, the topic of the dissertation is “The system of nomination of specific subjects in the Russian language”, the dissertation was carried out under the guidance of Professor O. I. Blinova . From 1974 to 2004 he worked at Altai State University as an assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor , and from 1993 as a professor. Since 2005 he has been working at Kemerovo State University.
Scientific Interests
- Onomasciology is the science of how the designation of objects in Russian occurs. In addition to general theoretical problems, Nikolai Danilovich Golev did a lot of specific research in this area: dialect names of birds, chemical terminology, Siberian toponymy
- Derivative lexicology - the science of derivation (word formation, morphemic, motivation) in the Russian language.
- Problems of teaching and learning the Russian language at school. ND Golev, a supporter of personality-oriented learning, welcomes an individual approach to learning, including taking into account the mental and psychological characteristics of the student. N. D. Golev notes that in the learning process it is necessary to rely not only on rational, but also on the possibilities of intuition of the student and student. As part of this concept, he developed methods of individual language teaching.
- Spelling and punctuation issues. According to the scientist, the central idea here is the need to study the laws of spelling and punctuation as manifestations of the natural written speech of ordinary native speakers
- Ordinary metalanguage consciousness. Reflections of ordinary native speakers of the language about the language itself, according to N. D.
