Avar literature

Avar literature - Avar literature in the Avar language.

After 1917, Avar fiction reached a significant peak, although many works were written by order of the party. Currently, the share of Avar youth who do not speak their native language is growing, which in the future may lead to the disappearance of the first literary, and later colloquial Avar language.

Specialists in Avar philology are trained by the Dagestan State University in Makhachkala .

Famous Avar poets are: Zaid Hajiyev , Rasul Gamzatov , Mashidat Gairbekova , Fazu Aliyev , Adallo Ali , Tajutdin (Chanka) .

Of the rather well-known works, the popular “Song of Khochbar”, “Heroes in Fur Coats” by the writer Rajab Din-Magomayev should be noted.
