Biography
Born on August 28, 1917 in the village of Kalita, now in the Vyaznikovsky district of the Vladimir region, in a working class family. Russian. He graduated from 6 classes, he worked at the shoe factory "Red October".
In the Red Army since 1935. In 1938 he graduated from the Voroshilovgrad military aviation school of pilots. Member of the fighting on the river Khalkhin-Gol since June 16, 1939. He fought in the squadron of Captain V. P. Kustov. In total, in the sky of Mongolia he personally shot down two and three Japanese planes in the group. September 1, 1939 in battle was wounded and sent home.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 29, 1939, for courage and heroism shown during the performance of military and international duty, Lieutenant Moshin Alexander Fedorovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union , with the award of the Order of Lenin . After the establishment of the mark of special distinction, he was awarded the Gold Star Medal No. 145.
Senior Lieutenant Moshin participated in the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940. He was deputy commander of the squadron. Since March 6, 1941 on the test work in the Institute of the Air Force.
On the fronts of World War II from July 7, 1941. He was a flight commander of the 402nd Special Purpose Fighter Regiment . On August 8, 1942, he was appointed deputy squadron commander of the 51st Fighter Aviation Regiment. Member of the CPSU since 1942.
The squadron commander of the 32nd Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment of the Guard Captain A. Moshin A. made more than 300 combat sorties, shot down 11 enemy aircraft. On July 13, 1943, a brave fighter pilot died in an air battle on the Kursk Bulge near the village of Matveyevsky, Zalegoshchensky District, Oryol Region [1] .
He was buried near the village Studenets Oryol region .
He was awarded the Order of Lenin , the Order of the Red Banner , the Red Star . The name of the Hero is the street in the town of Vyazniki, a memorial plaque is also installed there.
