Constitution Square in Malaga
Constitution Square in Malaga ( Spanish: Plaza de la Constitución ) is the main square in the historical center of the capital of the Andalusian province. The central square of Malaga since the time of the Nasrid and once called the Plaza Mayor (“Main Square”) was renamed the Constitution Square in 1812. Subsequently, it also bore other names: Freedom, Federal Republic, April 14 and Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera . The modern name was returned to the square with the restoration of democracy in Spain. Since 2003, together with the neighboring street of Marquise Larios forms a pedestrian zone .
