Earlier, Ingushetia had its autonomy and in 1924-1934 existed as the Ingush Autonomous Region with its capital in Vladikavkaz . Then, it was merged with the Chechen Autonomous Okrug into the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic with the capital in Grozny . On June 4, 1992, with the proclamation of the republic, Ingush statehood was restored. |

This date marked the beginning of the formation of the judicial system of Ingushetia. On May 6, 2004 this was recognized by the Resolution of the National Assembly of the Republic of Ingushetia “On the date of the formation of the judicial system in the Republic of Ingushetia” [5] . And on June 4, 2004, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Ingushetia, August 1 was recognized as the day the judicial system was formed in the Republic of Ingushetia and established as a public holiday [6] . So, Ingushetia is the first and so far the only subject of the Russian Federation, where the day of formation of the judicial system is recognized as a public holiday [7] . |
