The early years

Turner was born in Mississippi and raised in Knightsville , Florida. [4] After graduation, he entered the University of Florida [5] . Has the specialty of a TV show organizer [6] .

YouTube Career

YouTube Story

Toby created his first channel called Tobuscus on May 14, 2006. Initially on the channel there were only parodies to offs. products, as evidenced by his first video . The video itself was a parody of the Click movie.

After some time, Toby had a need to remove podcasts / calls to her subscribers. This prompted him to create his 2nd channel, whose name is “TobyTurner”. Toby puts vlogs, appeals on him, announces new animations. Vlogs completely lack editing; he calls them so: “Lazy vlogs”. However, it’s not always the person who engages in such activities on YouTube is becoming popular. At that time, video with the passage of games (Letpleys) was relevant. Perhaps because of this, Toby created his third “TobyGames” channel in use. Indeed: the channel was created later than all the others (in July 2010), however, at the moment there are ~ 6 million subscribers on this channel, which is almost a million more than the number of subscribers on its main channel, Tobuscus. The TobyGames channel has gained popularity thanks to the summer displays for games such as Minecraft and Happy Wheels. It is worth adding that Toby has the largest number of videos (let’s plays) on the game Happy Wheels on YouTube (more than 350 episodes).

At the moment, the number of subscribers on all of his channels exceeds 15 million, and Toby continues to delight people with his clips, animations, news and summer plays.

Music / Animation

Toby began his musical career with his remix entitled “David After Dentist After Remix,” which appeared on his channel on July 4, 2009. Toby decided to take on the very little-known literal genre at that time. He made his first song in this genre, published on YouTube on December 8, 2009, to the trailer for the film “Clash of the Titans”. Despite the fact that the literal genre itself was invented by another person, it is believed that its creator Toby Turner, since it was thanks to him that the genre gained popularity.

Toby has a section on the channel called Tobuscus: Adventures. It consists entirely of animations, and they, in turn, are divided into 2 types:

  1. Animation followed by Toby's literal song.
  2. Unrelated animated mini-stories that tell about various fictional situations that Tobuscus and his friend Gabuscus fall into.

The following characters most often appear in Toby's animations:

  • Tobuscus: Toby himself. The main character of all animations around which events revolve. It is characterized by unexpected decisions, optimism, and positive thinking. Dressed in a green Tobuscus T-shirt, blue shorts and black sneakers.
  • Gabuscus: Toby's friend. One of the main characters. The prototype for the character was a real person . The character is always judicious, condemns and does not understand Toby's antics, but often helps him out. Physically developed, wears a purple T-shirt with the inscription "Gabuscus".
  • Tim Tim. A child, a friend of Toby, whom Toby is always trying to help. However, nothing always changes as a result of Toby’s “help”, and sometimes it only gets worse. Tim Tim often complains about this. Tim has red hair, he is dressed in purple pajamas.
  • Mini Minotaur. A minotaur with very small stature (below Tim Tim), but in turn is angry and aggressive. He is allergic to tartar sauce, and this is his only weakness, with which you can defeat him.

This project began with Toby’s song “nugget in a biscuit,” uploaded to YouTube on September 28, 2011. For "Literal Mass Effect" he received ~ $ 500,000

Collaboration

In addition to working on his 3 channels, Turner appeared in many other projects / events:

  • Toby co-starred in The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange in episode 27, 2012!
  • Toby is friends with Jack Douglas and has repeatedly appeared in his videos. He starred in the 50th edition of Your grammar sucks.
  • Appeared several times in the MyMusic web series. Plays an episodic character.
  • He was at a party dedicated to the "anniversary" (6 million subscribers) at Felix Chelberg (Pyudipay). Confirmation of this is his instagram .
  • He is a member of the Whiskers Team along with Jacksfilms and Sean Klitzner. Together with them, he often performs songs.
  • He played in 2 episodes of the series Stranger Things - a priest and an angel.
