Gadzhinsky, Jamo-bey Suleiman oglu

Jamo-bek Suleiman oglu Hajinsky ( azerb. Camo bəy Süleyman oğlu Hacınski ; 1888, Guba , Azerbaijan - 1942 ) is an Azerbaijani statesman and public figure. The Comptroller in the 1st Cabinet of Ministers of the ADR [1] , the Minister of Post and Telegraph in the 4th Cabinet of Ministers. Member of Parliament of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (1918-1920), was a member of the Socialists faction [2] .

Born June 14, 1888 in the city of Guba .

In 1912 he graduated from the Law Faculty of St. Petersburg Imperial University . After returning to his homeland, he was part of the Transcaucasian Commissariat . He was a member of the Transcaucasian Sejm , the legislative body of Transcaucasia, and a member of the National Council of Azerbaijan .

On May 28, 1918, among other members of the National Council, he signed the Declaration of Independence of Azerbaijan [3] . Jamo bey Gadzhinsky also played a large role in the development of Azerbaijani art of those years.

After the establishment of Soviet power, he worked in the apparatus of the People’s Commissariat of Justice of Azerbaijan.

In 1922 he was arrested and sent to the Solovetsky Special Purpose Camp . In 1928 he was released, but 10 years later, in 1938 he was again arrested in the city of Baku . As a result, after many references, Jamo bey Gadzhinsky died in the Vyatlag labor camp in 1942 .
