Daughter of actors Robert Mackenzie and Yves Mackenzie. On the movie screen, she made her debut as a child, performing one of the first roles in the silent film “The Dramatic Life of Abraham Lincoln” in 1924. The greatest popularity was brought to her by the main roles in the five westerns of 1941-42 in the company with Gene Autry . In 1961, she starred in the episodic role of a drunken guest at a party laughing and crying by the mirror in the Blake Edwards film “ Breakfast at Tiffany's ”. He had it for the last time appeared on the screens, also playing a small role in the comedy “Son of a Bitch” (1981).
The actress was married twice. Her first husband was actor Steve Cochram (1946-1948), and the second was screenwriter Tom Waldman (1948-1985).
