Chidi Imo was born in 1963. In 1984, he participated in the Olympic Games in Los Angeles , and in 1988 - in the Olympic Games in Seoul , but did not win medals. In 1991, he became the bronze medalist of the indoor indoor championship, and in 1992 at the Barcelona Olympic Games he won the silver medal in the 4 × 100 m relay.
