Abeliophyllum ( Latin: Abeliophýllum ) is a genus of dicotyledonous flowering plants included in the Oleaceae family. Includes one species - Biloba Abeliifolia ( Abeliophyllum dístichum ).

Title
The scientific name of the genus Abeliophyllum was first used by the Japanese botanist Nakai in 1919. It is formed from the name of another plant Abelia and other Greek. φύλλων - “leaf”, which indicates the similarity of the leaves of these plants.
Botanical Description
Abelian leaf - deciduous shrub . The leaves are simple, oppositely located on the stem, dark green.
Inflorescences are racemose, appearing in the axils of the leaves long before they appear. The flowers are fragrant, self-incompatible, the cup is divided into four rounded sepals. The corolla consists of four overlapping petals, usually white, sometimes pinkish. Two stamens . The ovary is two-rooted.
The fruit is a spherical lionfish with two seeds.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 28.
Range
Abelian leaf is a very rare plant in the wild, endemic to the Korean Peninsula . Grown as a decorative in Europe and North America.
