Catholic Schools
At the same time, Catholic schools choose students from among those enrolled in public schools, on the principle of a lottery.
Private schools
There are also private schools, on a par with public. Parents must apply for enrollment directly to private schools.
There are several private schools in Malta that offer private pre-school education. Some of them offer only childcare services, while others offer both primary and secondary education for children from 3 to 16 years old. Primary private schools do not receive government funding.
Public Schools
Public schools are free, as are Catholic. Training is conducted in full: 5 hours and 30 minutes daily. Schools are open from 8 am to 2:30 pm
Children in public schools are divided into groups according to their age (month of birth). This distribution ensures that children have a difference in age of only a few months.
The maximum number of children of 3 years in a school group should not exceed 15 people, while in classes with children of 4 years there may be 20 students.
Each school year in the classroom teaches a different teacher.
