Kim Ja In

Kim Ja In ( born 김 자인 , born September 11, 1988 in Ulsan , South Korea ) is a professional rock-climber who specializes in performing in international competitions in the form of difficulty and bouldering . The owner of two World Cups in difficulty (2010 and 2013), the winner of the Rock Master tournament in difficulty (2010), an 8-time winner in the Asian Championship in difficulty .

Biography

Kim Ja In parents met on the basis of their common hobby - mountain climbing . One of her first memories was how they went to the park with the whole family, and her two older brothers climbed bouldering on stones [1] .

Kim Ja In started climbing at age 12, in 2002, at age 14, she took first place in difficulty at the Asian Youth Championship. In 2004, she won the adult Asian Championship in difficulty and has since been no match for primacy in it. From the same year she performs at international competitions. The first international podium - 3rd place at the World Cup stage in difficulty in Pursa in 2007. Since 2009, she has shown significant progress in her performances and has since been steadily holding leadership positions. That year, she took second place in the World Cup in difficulty (before that the maximum was 14th in 2007) and 5th in bowding (in 2008 she was 0th, in 2006 - 36th ) [2] .

Now lives in Seoul . He studies the psychology of sports in graduate school [3] .

Cliff walks

For a very long time, Ja-In Kim remained a novice on the rocks. Only in May 2014 she managed to climb her first route with a complexity of 8b +, and after a few days 8c and 8c + - the overhanging route of Reinis vibes in Masson, Arco [4] .
