Garcia Cantu, Guillermo

Born August 24, 1960 in Monterrey. Since childhood, he was a gifted child and his parents encouraged him to become an actor.

He made his film debut at the age of 23 in 1983 in a short film. There, the young future actor is noticed by the famous producer Ernesto Alonso and gives him an insignificant role in the 1985 series “Pure Blood”. After that, the actor begins to be invited to appear in other TV shows and he gets his first major role in the soap opera of the 1986 “Deception” ( Spanish El engaño ), produced by Ernest Alonso, where he starred with Erica Buenfil .

His further career was quite successful and he starred in 20 telenovelas, including “ When Love Comes ” in 1990, “ Marimar ” in 1994, “Intruder” ( La intrusa ) in 2001, “Amar otra vez” in 2004 and others.

In Russia, the actor is known for the roles of Bernando Duarte (Marimar), Raul Montemar ( Marisol ) and Demetrio Rivero ( Stepmother ).

Although he did not stop filming, one of his last major works was filming in the 2005 series The Stepmother, in which he shared the lead roles with Victoria Ruffo and Cesar Evora. Also in 2006, he played the villain Claudio Garzou in the youth television series Codigo Postal, starring actress Jacqueline Garcia.
