“Counting Stars” is a song by the American group OneRepublic , released as the third single from their third studio album, Native . The author of the song was the lead singer of the group Ryan Tedder [1] . The composition can be ranked among the pop and folk genres [2] .

Song Information

“Counting Stars” made it to number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts , thus becoming the group’s first song to make it to the top 5 since their debut and most successful single, “ Apologize ” [3] . The song was at the top of the UK's main UK music singles chart [4] , and also led the charts in Poland, Scotland, Slovakia and Israel.

The video clip for the song, which premiered on May 31, 2013, was shot by James Lees [5] .
