Biography
Graduated from the Faculty of History, Moscow State University Lomonosov in 1959 [1] .
Starting from studies at Moscow State University, I went on expeditions 49 times to collect field material to different regions of the Soviet Union , including from 1965 to the regions of the Armenian SSR , NKAO , and also the south of Russia, where a large Armenian diaspora lives [1] .
- October 29, 1968 - candidate of historical sciences (the topic of the dissertation: “The modern family of Armenians (based on materials from rural areas of the Armenian SSR”; defended at the Institute of Ethnography of the USSR Academy of Sciences).
- December 22, 1998 - Doctor of Historical Sciences (thesis: “Armenians. History and Ethnocultural Traditions”; defended at the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology RAS).
