Biography
In 1986 he graduated from the Theological Institute of the University of Athens .
In 1986-1988 he served in the army.
In 1988-1990, he was a graduate student at the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome.
On January 15, 1990, he was ordained deacon by the Metropolitan of Chalcedon Bartholomew (Arkhodonis) , and the next day, he was ordained as presbyter by the Metropolitan of Navapakt Alexander (Papadopoulos) with the appointment as priest of the St. George Church in Venice and rector of the ancient Brotherhood of St. Nicholas.
Since 1992 - protosinkell of the Italian Metropolis of the Patriarchate of Constantinople .
At the same time he served as head of the same parish in Padua (1990-2007), Ferrara (1990-1999), Parma (1994-1999) and Perugia (1992-2003). He served as Rector of the Monastery of St. John the Baptist in Calabria (1994-1997) and in the church of St. George the Noble in Venice with the Greek Nuns (1992-2007).

On April 30, 2007, at the proposal of Patriarch Bartholomew, by the decision of the Holy Synod he was elected ruling bishop of the Metropolitan of Spain and Portugal .
On May 6, 2007, at the Patriarchal Church of St. George on Phanar, he was ordained bishop of Spain and Portugal with the elevation of the Metropolitan . The consecration was headed by Patriarch Bartholomew.
On June 16 of that year, in the Cathedral of Saints Andrei and Demetrius in Madrid, his intronization took place.
During the three years of his pastoral work, he founded nineteen new parishes in Barcelona and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 7 (seven) new parishes in central Spain, and the number of clergy increased to 18 (eighteen). In 2012, there are already 29 priests.
