Geographical position
The city is located in the western part of the state, north of the Sokoto River, at an altitude of 301 meters above sea level [2] . Binji is located approximately 35 kilometers northwest of Sokoto , the state’s administrative center, and 525 kilometers northwest of Abuja , the country's capital. The area of the district is 587.32 km² [3] .
