Geographical position
The city is located in the central part of the state, in the western part of the Niger Delta , at an altitude of 38 meters above sea level [1] . Orerokpe is located approximately 107 kilometers southwest of Asaba , the state’s administrative center, and 411 kilometers southwest (SSW) from Abuja , the country's capital.

According to 2012 estimates , the Orerokpe population was 83 304 people [2] .
