Career

Born in Stalingrad in 1949. From childhood, attended football sections. At a young age, he began to study at the training center for young football players of the Barricade club, he was watched by the team of masters, but could not qualify for it. [one]

He began his professional activity in the field of physical education and sports in 1969, when he got a job as a trainer at the Barricades. Soon, Petr Orlov’s coaching talent was noticed and he was transferred to the post of head coach of the Sports School SC Barricades. [one]

From 1983 to 1985, Peter Orlov worked as a head coach of the Volgograd Olympic Reserve School. In 1987 he graduated from the Higher School of Trainers and became the head of the football department of the Volgograd School of Higher Sports Excellence. [1] Then he worked as the head coach of FC Torpedo (Volzhsky) .

In 1990, he joined FC “ Rotor ”, where he worked for a decade and a half, having managed to be an assistant to the head coach of the main team, a trainer of the backup team, head coach of the reserve training center of FC “Rotor”, head coach of FC “ Rotor-2 ” . [one]

During the period of coaching and teaching, Pyotr Orlov made a great contribution to the development of football in Volgograd, the organization and establishment of the successful activities of the football departments of the Olympic Reserve School, the School of Higher Sports Excellence and the Rotor sports boarding school. As the head coach of the youth team MOA "Chernozemye" born in 1987 in football led the team to the gold medals of the championship of Russia. [one]

More than 50 pupils of Pyotr Orlov played for various clubs at a professional level, many of them were involved in the national teams.
