Beautiful Dicentra , or beautiful Heart Heart, or a North American dicentre ( lat. Dicēntra formōsa ) - perennial herb; a species of the genus Dicentra of the Poppy family ( Papaveraceae ). Homeland - the Pacific coast of North America.

Botanical descriptionPerennial herbaceous plant up to 30 cm.
Tuberous root, strongly branched.
The leaves are long, palmarly divided into small lobes, collected in the rosette .
Flowers are heart-shaped, pink-purple, up to 2 cm in diameter, in a one-sided brush . It blooms from late May to July.
Cultivation in cultureThe plant is shade tolerant, although it develops best in the sun. Soils like nutritious, loose, permeable. Needs periodic feeding. It hibernates well, but as a preventative you can cover. Propagated by dividing the bush in the fall, green cuttings throughout the summer. Planted in the garden as among the stones on the hill, retaining wall, and next to the ornamental deciduous perennials and low shrubs.
