Forgotten penny , or Bear root, or Red root ( lat.Hedȳsarum neglēctum ) - a species of herbaceous plants of the genus Hedysarum of the legume family ( Fabaceae ).

Perennial herb 25–80 cm high. Leaves , including 4–10 pairs, elliptical or oblong-elliptical, 4–4.5 cm long, 0.5–1.6 cm wide, bare above, pubescent from below [3]
Inflorescence is a loose brush on which 15-30 flowers are located. Calyx pubescent, 4-5 mm long. The flowers are lilac or lilac-purple. Blossoms and bears fruit from June to July. It is a cross-pollinated plant [4] .
The fruit is a dry bean [3] .
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 14 [3] .
The species is described from the Tozlya River ( East Kazakhstan ) [3] .
The species is found in the alpine zone, rocky slopes, in subalpine and alpine meadows [3] [4] .
It is found in Russia in Siberia . Abroad lives in Central Asia , Northern Mongolia and Northwest China [3] .
It is used as a medicinal, fodder and silage plant. Suitable for securing slopes [4] .
