Khatuev, Moldi Ayubovich

Moldi Ayubovich Khatuyev (1979–2008) - Russian policeman, member of the counter-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus , battalion commander of the patrol and inspection service of the internal affairs department of the Shali district of the Chechen Republic , Hero of Russia (posthumously).

Biography

Born in Grozny. In 1999 he graduated from the Grozny Polytechnic College. He began his service in the internal affairs bodies of the republic in June 2004 . Since autumn 2007, he commanded a patrol battalion [1] .

On December 17, 2008, an operational search group under the command of M. Khatuyev left for the detention of a member of illegal armed groups hiding in one of the private households of the city of Argun . Police officers surrounded the house on Steppe Street, where, as reported, young children could be found. The house was cordoned off, the offender responded to an offer to surrender with small-arms fire [1] .

Finding that there was no one other than the gangster in the house, Moldy Khatuyev broke down the door and threw a grenade. After the explosion, a capture group broke into the house. The criminal who disappeared in the room aimed at the police officers. Then Senior Lieutenant Khatuyev, standing in front of his subordinates, opened fire on the criminal. He was killed, but with a return fire mortally wounded Moldi Ayubovich [1] .
