Kolodnitsa ( Ukr. Kolodnitsya ) is a lake located in the Kozeletsky district of the Chernihiv region , on the left bank of the Desna River between the villages of Sokolovka and Samoilovka . Area - 0.5 km². The type of general mineralization is fresh . Origin - river (old woman) . The hydrological regime group is waste .

Geography
Length over 5 or 4 [1] km, width up to 100 m, area 0.5 km², depth up to 5 m. In the north, Lake Podlesnoe adjoins, into which the Makhnea River flows . Then flows the river Makhnea and flows into the Desna. It has an arched shape with a branch in the eastern part, where the tributary of the Mahnea Vovk flows. Mostly narrowing. The banks are mostly right gently sloping, covered mainly by meadow vegetation, in the southern part - by the forest ( oak domination). The banks are steep left without beaches 2-3 m high.
The water temperature in summer is +19 ° C at a depth of 0.5 m from the bottom. It freezes in winter. Water transparency up to 1.2 m. The bottom is sandy .
Water is used for agricultural purposes. The well and its shores are a place of recreation, fishing, and hunting.
Flora and Fauna
On the shores of the lake, common reed grows, cattail broadleaf , hornwort submerged, there are relict ( floating salvinia ) and insectivorous ( common common ) plants.
In the waters of the lake are found crucian carp , perch , roach and other fish. In the coastal thickets nests of reeds , tern marsh .
