Club career
Miller is a graduate of the Cartagenes club. In 2003, he debuted for the team at a professional level. After playing two seasons at home, Roy moved to the Norwegian Bodø-Glimt . In the new club, he quickly won a place at the base and showed a high-quality game, which aroused interest from the leaders of the Norwegian Tippeliga . In 2008, Miller moved to Rosenborg . He signed a contract with the club for three years. Roy soon suffered a knee injury, which prevented him from adapting normally in the team, and he was forced to rent in the Swedish Ergryut . Despite these circumstances, Roy helped Rosenborg become the Norwegian champion. On August 3, 2009, in a match against Örebro , Miller made his debut in the Swedish Allsvenskan [2] .
In January 2010, Roy signed a two-year contract with the American club New York Red Bulls . March 28, in a duel against the Chicago Fire , he made his debut in MLS [3] . In 2013, Miller helped the Bulls win the MLS Supporters' Shield . Roy played over 100 matches for the team.
In early 2016, Miller returned to his homeland, signing a contract with Saprissa . On January 18, in a match against Belen , he made his debut for a new team [4] . On February 24, Roy scored his first goal for Saprissa in a duel against Limon [5] .
In early 2017, Miller returned to the United States, signing a contract with Portland Timbers [6] . On March 13, in a match against the Los Angeles Galaxy , he made his debut for a new team [7] . On April 9, Miller scored his first goal for the Portland Timbers in a duel against Philadelphia Union . [8]
International Career
In 2005, Roy made his debut for the Costa Rica national team in a friendly match against Ecuador . In the same year, Miller went to the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2005 as part of the national team. In the tournament, he played in matches against the national teams of Canada [9] , Cuba [10] , USA [11] and Honduras [12] .
On June 8, 2013, Roy scored his first goal for the national team in a meeting of the qualifying stage of the World Cup against the national team of Honduras [13] .
In the same year, he took part in the CONCACAF Gold Cup for the second time. At the tournament, he fought against the team of Cuba [14] , Honduras [15] and the USA [16] .
In 2014, Miller was included in the application of the national team for a trip to the World Cup in Brazil . At the tournament, he took part in the match against England [17] .
In 2015, Roy performed for the third time at the CONCACAF Gold Cup . At the tournament, he played in fights against the teams of Jamaica [18] , El Salvador [19] , Canada [20] and Mexico [21] .
