History
The first news of the church in Ilyinsky dates back to the 16th century .
The modern building was built in 1717 by the owner of the village, captain I.P. Slepushkin. In 1739, a self-taught architect, a peasant from the village of Uchenzha of the Yaroslavl district (now the Nekrasovsky district of the Yaroslavl region ) Ivan Makarov completed the construction of the temple [1] . From the surviving documents it is not clear: either initially, or after completion, the church, besides the main one, had chapels in the refectory of Pokrovsky and Ilyinsky.
In the 1930s, the temple was closed, apparently, was not used in any way, since it turned practically into ruins.
In 2002, it was returned to the church community, a small clearing was made, the first service was held on July 20, 2003, but, in fact, the temple is in extremely ruined condition and (in 2013) is not used.
