Biography and creative activities
An ardent royalist and Catholic, he became friends with Michaud and became an employee of his History of the Crusades ( Bibliothèque des croisades in 7 volumes; 1812-1822). In 1830, Pujula accompanied Michaud to the East. He especially studied Jerusalem , Judea, and Syria . Upon their return, they published a description of their trip, under the title "Correspondance d'Orient" (1832-1835). [3]
Then they published the Nouvelle collection des mémoires pour servir à l'histoire de France depuis le XIIIe siècle jusqu'à la fin du XVIIIe (1836-1838; 32 volumes ; 1851 ed. ), A work containing a mass of unpublished and valuable material [3]
Upon the death of Michaud, Puzhula, according to the will of the latter, issued a new edition of his History of the Crusades, with an article on the life and literary activity of Michaud (1840–46) [3] .
