ROOTS debuted at # 8 on the Billboard 200 , with sales of 55,000 copies in its first week. [1] As of August 2009, the album sold 223,000 copies in the United States and 750,000 copies worldwide. By the end of 2009, the album had sold 300,000 copies, becoming the eighth best-selling rap album of 2009. [2]
