Mubi is a city in northeastern Nigeria , in the state of Adamawa . It is part of the Northern Mubi local government area .

Geographical position
The city is located in the north-eastern part of the state, in the foothills of the Mandara Range, near the border with Cameroon . The absolute height is 580 meters above sea level [1] . Mubi is located approximately 142 kilometers southwest of Yola , the state’s administrative center, and 642 kilometers east-northeast (ENE) of Abuja , the country's capital.

Acts of Terrorism
In 2012, militants from the radical Nigerian Islamist sect Boko Haram carried out two attacks on residents of the city of Mubi:
- On January 6, there was an attack on a funeral procession consisting of Christians. Killed 48 people [4] .
- On October 2, militants shot students at a local polytechnic college. 27 people were killed, at least 15 people were injured [5] .
