Career

In 1979, Igor won the European Championship among juniors . In 1981 he became the bronze medalist of the Universiade . At the World Championships in 1983, Nikulin became fourth, and in fifth fifth. At the European Championships, he won silver and two bronzes.

At the Barcelona Olympics in 1992, Igor won a bronze medal, losing to compatriots Igor Astapkovich and Andrei Abduvaliev [1] .

In 1994, at the European Championships, Nikulin became the fourth.

USSR champion 1981 , 1982 and 1984 , and silver medalist in the 1980 and 1983 championships .
