Biography
Born in Yerevan , Armenian SSR . He began musical activity at the age of 7. Starting with classical music, Sarafyan subsequently became interested in instrumental jazz music and at the age of 13 he began to write lyrics.
Moving from Los Angeles , Sarafyan was surrounded by American culture . He continued to not only write songs, but at various times he founded several music groups, influenced by American artists. A few years later, he took a break in his musical career, which was a key event in his activity, as he devoted his forces to writing and performing songs in Armenian. Sarafyan included songs from many genres reflecting various life situations in his debut album The Meaning of Life . He did not depart from this approach in his second album, The Color of my World .
Sarafyan took two years of emotional quest to create her second album. According to him, his songs are individual and are an expression of his Armenians. Each composition is stylistically different from the rest.
According to Sarafyan himself:
I just want to connect my music with the audience. We are obliged to preserve the Armenian culture and our language, hence the songs “The Armenian Language” from the first album, as well as “Armenian Girl” and “For Diaspora” from the Temptation album. These songs are aimed primarily at our youth, and if in this way I can influence at least one young Armenian, then I completed my task.
