Geographical position
The city is located in the southern part of the state, on the left (eastern) bank of the Niger River , at an altitude of 69 meters above sea level [2] . Idah is located approximately 70 kilometers south of the city of Lokoja , the state’s administrative center, and 223 kilometers south-southwest (SSW) from Abuja , the country's capital.
