47th Tiger Special Forces Regiment

According to the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine dated May 19, 2004 No. 537, one of the operational units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine - the 37th separate battalion of internal troops was redeployed from Pavlograd to the village of Krasnokamenka ( Autonomous Republic of Crimea ) and reorganized into the 47th Special Purpose Regiment "Tiger" (military unit 4125), with the inclusion of its military unit 1841 (Sudak) as a linear battalion.

Lieutenant Colonel was appointed commander of the regimentN.I. Balan (he remained commander of the regiment until 2008, when Colonel N.I. Balan was appointed deputy head of the Western Territorial Command, and on December 1, 2010, head of the Crimean Territorial Command of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine ^[2] ).

September 7, 2004 President of Ukraine L.D. Kuchma presented the units with a military banner and diploma.

During the Crimean crisis, the 47th regiment of the Tiger Interior Ministry was disbanded, the banner of the military unit was exported to Ukraine. Military unit 6915 of the Russian Guard of the Russian Federation (n. Krasnokamenka) is not the assignee of military unit 4125.

The regiment is equipped with both contract soldiers and military servicemen.

Small arms and light artillery armament ^[3] .

The tasks of the Tiger include actions in conditions of extreme complication of the operational situation - group hooligan manifestations, riots, riots in places of deprivation of liberty, assistance to the border troops of Ukraine in case of complications of the situation at the border. The unit can be used for combined arms purposes as assault troops in armed conflict, the personnel are trained to act both in defense and in the offensive. In a normal situation, personnel are engaged in official and combat training, and carry out patrol service for the protection of public order.

The personnel of the unit participates in tactical-special and military exercises , including joint exercises with military personnel of special forces and other other military units of the armed forces of Ukraine.

• So, in May 2011, according to the results of competitions among special forces units of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Tiger regiment took first place ^[4]
• after that, from June 14 to 30, 2011, in the framework of international cooperation between the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the French National Gendarmerie, a joint training course on the assimilation of the tactics of the actions of the European police forces was held on the basis of the Tiger special forces led by experts from the French National Gendarmerie ^{[ 5]} .

In the winter of 2005-2006, the personnel (together with the police and the Ministry of Emergencies ) participated in the provision of quarantine measures in connection with the danger of an epizootic of bird flu in the Crimea.

On June 8-28, 2012, 300 fighters of the Tiger regiment participated in ensuring public order during the Euro 2012 sports competitions in Donetsk ^{[6] [7]}

After the beginning of the Euromaidan , in December 2013 ^{[8] the} fighters of the Tiger regiment were sent to Kiev ^[9] . On December 8–9, 2013, 730 soldiers were sent to Kiev in 20 trucks and buses ^[10] .
