Ter-Poghosyan, Vasak Samsonovich

Vasak Samsonovich Ter-Poghosyan ( January 15, 1881 , Aparansky district , Ara village - 1936 , Tiflis ) - statesman, People's Commissar of Finance of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Armenia (1922-1928), brother of the Armenian military leader Arsen Ter- Poghosyan.

He received an economic higher education in the city of Chita . Until 1917 he worked in Siberia, 1917-1918. was in Japan , in 1919 he moved to Armenia. In 1905 he became a Bolshevik. After the establishment of Soviet power in Armenia, he performed responsible work. 1922-1928 He was the People's Commissar of Finance of the ArmSSR, 1929-1930. - Member of the Board of the People’s Commissariat of Finance of the Transcaucasian Federation . 1930-1934 - Member of the Board of the State Planning Commission of the Transcaucasian Federation. 1934-1936 held various responsible positions. He was a close friend of Alexander Myasnikyan and Agasy Khanjyan.
