Biography

During the First World War he served in the Lancers Regiment. In 1921 - 1931 and 1935 - 1939 he was a professor of archeology at Lviv University .

In 1928-1935 he was a deputy of the Sejm , in 1935-1939 he was a senator. He was the Minister of Agricultural Reform ( 1930 - 1932 ), later worked in the Ministry of Finance ( 1932 - 1933 ).

From May 15, 1934 to March 28, 1935 he was the Prime Minister of Poland. He temporarily acted as Minister of the Interior after the assassination of Bronislaw Peratsky .

After the Soviet troops occupied Lviv in 1939, he was arrested and sentenced to death. However, by agreement with Vladislav Anders, he was released, entered his army with the rank of lieutenant. In the fall of 1941, he deserted and fled to the Germans. He was sentenced in absentia to death by an Anders Army field court.

Unapproved assumptions were made in the Polish press that Kozlovsky made attempts to form a collaborative “government” of Poland, which were unsuccessful - the Germans were not inclined to restore Poland's independence in any way. However, the Germans appreciated his services - until the end of his life he received a German pension, stayed at the Adlon Hotel in Berlin . In 1943, he participated in an international commission investigating the Katyn execution [2] . Died of a heart attack during an air raid.
