The International Hepatitis Alliance or the Alliance is an international organization that brings together groups of patients with viral hepatitis and human rights organizations with the goal of raising the status of hepatitis and raising public awareness of it. Created in 2007. Since 2012, is an official partner of WHO . He is the initiator and coordinator of World Hepatitis Day [1] .

History
The International Hepatitis Alliance was founded in 2007. The main goals of the organization were to fight hepatitis and increase its political status as a disease that affects more than 500 million people (every 12th inhabitant of the planet) and which kills more than a million people every year. In comparison, about 43 million people are infected with HIV .
Structure
The International Hepatitis Alliance includes more than 170 participating organizations, but only groups of patients with viral hepatitis have the right to vote.
Presidents
The President of the Alliance is elected by all participating organizations with voting rights for a 4-year term, not more than two consecutive terms. In 2010-2014, Charles Gore is president.
