USSR Football Federation Cup 1990 - 5th USSR Football Federation Cup . The official name of the tournament is “Cup of the Football Union of the USSR 1990”. Held from May 28 to July 6, 1990 . The winner for the first time was the Odessa "Chernomorets" , who beat Dnipropetrovsk "Dnipro" in the final with a score of 2: 0. At the end of the draw, the cup was awarded to the Odessa team, and transferred to it for eternal storage. From now on, the USSR Football Federation Cup can be seen in the Football Museum, which is located at the Chernomorets stadium in Odessa .

The tournament was attended by 9 clubs of the highest league of the USSR Championship in 1990 :

Group stage
The participating teams were divided into two groups. Group "A" comprised "Ararat" (Yerevan), "Dnepr" (Dnepropetrovsk), "Metalist" (Kharkov), "Chernomorets" (Odessa), and "Shakhtar" (Donetsk). Group “B” was made up of “Dynamo” (Minsk), “Pamir” (Dushanbe), “Rotor” (Volgograd), CSKA (Moscow). Matches were held in a round robin (one round). Each team met with rivals in their group once. In the semifinals of the tournament left the team took the first two places in their groups.
