Bulbulsarsay

Bulbulsars or Bulbulzars ( Uzbek. Bulbulzorsoy - “ Nightingale sai ” [1] [com 1] ) is a small mountain river (sai [com 2] ) in the Urgut district of the Samarkand region , the right tributary of the Amankutansai river [2] .

In the caves on the shores of Bulbulsay, the sites of primitive people Amankutan ( Mousterian era) and Takaliksai (Late Peasant era) were found [3] [4]

Geographical Description

Bulbulzarskaya length is 7 km, water consumption - 50-70 l / s. The flow of the river is mainly spring, part of rain and snow [2] .

Bulbulsarsy flows along the northern slope of the Zeravshan Range . The source of the Saya is located at an altitude of 1300 meters, to the east of the Takhtakaracha pass [2] , along which the Great Uzbek Route passes. In the upper reaches of the river expressed typical karst topography [5] .

Bulbulzary Valley

In the Bulbulzars basin there are woody acacia and pine , almond , apricot and nut orchards [2] . The growth of the arum Korolkov , which is traditionally used in Uzbekistan as a medicinal plant, has been recorded [6] . In the river valley there are many nightingales , wild pigeons and kekliks [2] .
