Shelkovo is a village of the Artemyevsky rural district of the Artemyevsky rural settlement of Tutaevsky district of the Yaroslavl region [1] .

The village is located in the west of a rural settlement, northwest of Tutaev . It is located on the north side of the federal highway P151 Yaroslavl - Rybinsk on the Tutaev - Rybinsk section, between the highway and the right bank of the Volga . The village is located on the left bank of the small river Vzderoznichka , flowing in a deep ravine. Upstream Shelkovo is the administrative center of the rural settlement, the village of Emishevo , and downstream, on the opposite bank, at the mouth of the Vzderinozhki village is Novoselki . On the north side of the village is the village of Mishaki [2] .

The village of Shchelkova is indicated on the plan of the General Land Survey of Borisoglebsky Uyezd in 1792. Between the village and the village of Emishevo, on the plan is the village of Musina , which currently does not exist. In 1825, Borisoglebsky district was merged with Romanovsky district . According to 1859, the village belonged to the Romanovo-Borisoglebsky district [3] .

On January 1, 2007 in the village of Shelkovo there were 18 permanent residents [4] . According to the map of 1975, 36 people lived in the village. A post office located in Tutaev serves 30 houses in the village of Shelkovo [5] .
