Born January 19, 1980 in Sapporo , Japan . From elementary school, she believed that her future was secured by her voice and participated in all kinds of auditions. In 2000, her dream became a reality - Kotoko successfully auditioned in the studio of the company I've Sound , which selected vocalists for dubbing simulators and other games . After debuting in this area, Kotoko recorded in opening intros and endings for several anime series, which eventually came out as a separate album and collections. The second album, “Glass No Kaze”, released in June 2005, provoked a stormy response from the Internet community, first in Japan and then around the world. In October of that year, Kotoko released the fourth collection of her compositions, including the song Shuusou / Akisou 秋 爽 (The Refreshing Autumn Breeze). March 5, 2006 released the 5th collection, with themes from the anime Shakugan no Shana .
Kotoko's first album, Sora wo Tobetara, was released in 2000. Many songs from him were later reworked and went to the альбом -hane album, already released under the label I've Sound. Her 2nd and 3rd albums under this sign are “Lament” and “Collective”.
Kotoko’s first performance overseas in the USA at Anime Expo 2005 was very successful and resulted in a KOTOKO LAX Tour.
What serves as an inspirational string for Kotoko? Partly - the work of the Icelandic singer Björk and, according to Kotoko herself, of course life itself, everyday and not only. Kotoko's works belong to the hybrid genre of pop music mixed with techno. It was this combination that helped Kotoko’s music become popular not only in Japan but also in other countries, remaining in the hearts of fans of anime and J-Pop.
Released 5 albums , 5 singles and 1 DVD disc for release in America.
She performed her songs in anime and video games , such as “ Onegai Teacher ” (“Shooting Star” screensaver, second ending “Love a Riddle”), “ Onegai Twins ” (“Second Flight” screensaver), “ Maria-sama ga Miteru ” (OVA endings Chercher and Kirei na Senritsu), Kannazuki no Miko (Re-Sublimity screensaver and Agony endings), Starship Operators and Shakugan no Shana , Hayate no Gotoku , Magical-Girl Squad - Alice , BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger , Vanguard Bandits (Together screensaver, Believe my heart introductory video), Motto Love-ru (Loop-the-Loop screensaver ").
