Description

The first banknotes in denomination of 50,000 carbovanets were made by the British company Thomas de la Rue in 1993. In 1994 and 1995, banknotes were also issued at the Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine .

Banknotes were printed on white paper. The size of the banknotes is: length 125 mm, width - 56 mm. Watermark - the image of the emblem of the NBU .

On the obverse side of the banknote in the central part on the left there is a sculptural image of Prince Vladimir the Great with a cross made based on the monument to the Prince in Kiev . On the right side of the banknote are inscriptions Ukraine, Coupon, 50,000 Ukrainian Carbovans, the National Bank of Ukraine and the year of issue - 1993, 1994 or 1996.

On the reverse side of the banknote there is an engraving image of the National Bank of Ukraine and the denomination of the banknote is indicated in each corner. The predominant color on both sides is light brown.

Banknotes of different years of issue were put into circulation on August 27, 1993, February 16, 1994 and January 28, 1995, seized on September 16, 1996.
