Geography
It is located 118 km southwest of the center of the Irtyshsk region and 287 km northwest of the regional center of Pavlodar [2] .
History
The village of Sladvodskoye (since 1979 - Sladvodsk) was founded in 1910 by peasant immigrants on the shores of a fresh lake with a sweet taste of Sulukol [2] . The village was the central estate of the sheep farm “Seletinsky”, founded in 1930 [2] . On April 13, 2007, the village of Sladvodsk was renamed Selety [3]
Population
In 1999, the village population was 771 people (361 men and 410 women) [4] . According to the 2009 census, 360 people lived in the village (171 men and 189 women) [4] .
