Alexandrova, Lyudmila Vladimirovna

Lyudmila Vladimirovna Aleksandrova (years of birth and death are unknown) is a Ukrainian composer , music teacher , author of the music of two famous romances that became Ukrainian folk songs (“Go to Ukraine” and “I marvel at the thought of heaven”).

Biography

She was born in Izum, Kharkiv Province, in the family of a doctor and famous Ukrainian poet Vladimir Alexandrov (1825-1894). Received home education. Later, she managed to obtain admission to a higher educational institution - she became a student of the Warsaw Conservatory in the composer class and successfully completed it. After graduating from the conservatory, she returned to her homeland, lived in Kharkov . She taught and wrote music.

Creativity

She created music for a number of songs and romances .

The scenic debut of the song “Go to Ukraine” (to the verses of S. Rudansky (1834–1874)) took place in 1872 in the operetta of V. Alexandrov’s father, “I Go For Neman” (more precisely, a play full of folk songs).

Her songs “I marvel at heaven” (to the verses of M. Petrenko (1817–1862)) and “Povіy, Vіtre, Vkraina” were considered popular for a long time.

The romance with notes was published in several collections:
