General Information
For the first time, a tennis player who won three tournaments of the international category over the year was able to win the Final Competition, however, the prize regulation that changed after moving to Bulgaria did not give her any bonuses for this.
The dates of the tournament caused discontent among the countries participating in the Federation Cup final, as a result of which the Sofia tournament was left without Roberta Vinci , and the final of the ITF team tournament was without Maria Kirilenko , Elena Vesnina and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova . The Italian, this choice was worth a possible debut in the Top10 singles rating, and the Russian team , having lost three leading tennis players, lost significantly in the title match.
