Content
Story
Based on the story of Nikolai Karamzin "Poor Lisa . "
The film takes place in Moscow at the end of the 18th century .
The film tells about the love of a poor girl - Lisa - and a wealthy young man. They love each other, everything goes well with them until the young man loses all his fortune into cards. After losing, he is forced to marry, by calculation, to a rich bride.
The Lisa thrown by him cannot survive the break and drowns in the lake in the park where she and her ex-lover loved to walk and was happy.
The film was shot in a poetic manner, in the pantomime genre. Not a single word is pronounced in it.
