Sir Henry Ernest Gaskoyne Bulwer ( eng. Sir Henry Ernest Gascoyne Bulwer , December 11, 1836 - September 30, 1914 ) is the nephew of Sir Henry Bulver-Lytton , a British colonial official and diplomat [1] .

Life
Bulver was educated at Charterhouse School and at Trinity College , University of Cambridge. [2] During his diplomatic career, he held the following posts: [1]
- 1860 - 1864 - British resident on the island of Kythira ( Ionian Islands ) under the leadership of the High Commissioner Sir Henry Knight Storks.
- 1865 - Secretary of his uncle, Henry Bulwer-Lytton , British ambassador to Constantinople .
- 1866 - Chief Executive Officer of Trinidad .
- 1867 - 1869 - Administrator of the Government of Dominica .
- 1871 - 1875 - Governor of Labuan and Consul General on Borneo .
- 1875 - 1880 - Lieutenant Governor of the Natal colony.
- 1882 - 1885 - Governor of the colony Natal and Special Commissioner for Zulus.
- 1886 - 1892 - High Commissioner in Cyprus .

Memory
During the governorship in Labuan, Bulver presented a copy of the pheasant Lophura bulweri to the British Museum. This subspecies was named after him - Bulwer Pheasant [1] .
